Hi Everyone :happy-day: As you know I've had the most horrid skin upset! But if there's a heaven I think I may have arrived :emoticons-yes: My general practitioner decided to contact a friend of hers, a dermatologist consultant at our local hospital, as she was upset by my plight, and couldn't think what to do with me next and wanted his advice. Well, it worked at least for me and if my information helps 1 other person I'll be pleased.

He said that if I'd been referred to him, with this and the diagnosis of scleroderma he would advocate as follows

a.) a bath preferably in the evening for a min of 10-20mins in an light liquid paraffin bath. You can send me a PM for the brand name.

b.) wash with this 2in1 emollient and skin moisturiser and use it all over afterwards as a body cream

Those of us that suffer very sore and dry external intimate areas it can be used there as well, but NOT internally. I've been doing this regime since Monday this week and oh my goodness, for the first time in months its bliss!

If you have a pre-pay prescription ask to have it added to try, if not weigh up the cost of buying it over the counter at the pharmacy or getting a prescription for it if you have medical exemption like me for thyroid problems they will give it to you .

I know we are all different, but for me its been no less short of a miracle and made life so much more comfortable. Please give this a try its come from a qualified doctor I wish I had had this help months ago and not had to suffer so badly please let me know how you get on and I dearly hope it helps some of you.:emoticon-hug: :emoticon-hug:

Hi Lynn

I've just read your post; what wonderful news; I'm so pleased for you!!! :happy-day: It must be the most fantastic relief for you at last.

It does sound as though your doctor has come up trumps for you, even though it did take a while to get there!!

Thanks for the info; it's certainly worth knowing!!
