Dear Shelley,

I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to reintroduce myself. The reasoning is, I do not post often enough, but am on this magnificent forum on a daily basis. And I also participate in the chats that occur on Wednesday's with Carrie, (Jefa) and Sunday's with Sheryl. I need to express my gratitude with this wonderful organization! I've learned so much invaluable information and have gained awesome friendships with the people on the chats. I need to thank you Shelley for having the patience when in the past I had problems signing on.

My name is Annie and I was diagnosed with diffuse systemic sclero back in 1998. It took me a long time to become actively involved in this support group. I joined in February 2007. I have my terrific husband to thank because he finally persuaded me to be on this forum. My issues from this disease are lung, skin, Raynaud's and gastrointestinal. Two years ago, I had congestive heart failure and was hospitalized for 3 months. I don't mean to scare people on this site, because everyone has their own unique challenges and issues from this disease. To make a long story short, I have been stable.

I'm sorry if this has been too long of a post. Hugs to all :emoticon-hug: and take care :)

Diffuse Systemic Sclerosis, (Scleroderma). Lung, skin and gastrointestinal involvement.

Dear Annie,

I'm delighted to see you becoming more active in forum posting. Thanks for your compliments on both our chats and the forums. It's funny how sometimes it takes people several years to join or to take the plunge with active posting, even when they are reading the site or forums every day. It seems everyone we've heard from who has lingered at the fringes so long, wishes they had dived in right away.

It's always fun talking to you when you get locked out of the forums with computer issues. Your husband is a marvel and so helpful with it, too.

I rather doubt people on this forum are put off by hearing about major health issues that some of us encounter. In fact, I think they gather strength and courage, hearing from people who have survived so many different things and still have an uplifting attitude. I know I sure do! Anyway, I'm sorry you've had congestive heart failure and I'm glad you are a bit better now. And I'm thrilled to see you posting more!
Warm Hugs,

Shelley Ensz

Hi Annie

How nice it was to read your post and I'm so pleased that you're posting more. We've had some lovely chats in the Wednesday chatroom and I would like to participate and speak to you on a Sunday but because of the time difference I'd have to be an insomniac!!!

I agree with you that this is a fantastic and friendly forum and I am very thankful for the support I've received from it. Whatever did I do with myself before I joined??!! ;) :VeryHappy:
