Hey everybody, it's time for a Sclero Party!!! :emoticons-yes:

That's right, today marks the 9th anniversary of the launching of the nonprofit International Scleroderma Network. <Yay rah rah!> And January 7th marked the 13th anniversary of the sclero.org private website, which eventually grew into the public nonprofit ISN, home of SCLERO FORUMS, publisher of the Voices of Scleroderma book series (thank you, Judith Thompson Devlin!), and our worldwide affiliates.

The party starts now, at 12:01 AM. Everyone is invited! Perhaps dress up your avatar in party clothes, and bring some virtual treats and entertainment to this online party. Since I'm first, I'm bringing a raspberry punch for our toast. Gene is working on setting up the salad bar area now. What will you bring to the party, what will you make for a toast?

Let's all do the Sclero Rocks Happy Dance, now!!! :jump-for-joy:

:happy-day:

Haven't worked with my Avatar in ages, so when I saw the party invite, :thank-you: I decided to go in and change a couple of things. I put "our" winter wonderland in (hate Canadian winters...sigh). Gave Laurie (my hubby) a coat and hat. And we're bringing a cake to the party! Thanks for the incentive to "play" with my avatar again. I had accumulated enough points to buy everything I needed and still have some left over. Let's party!!!! :happy-day:

Please don't give up on your avatar, Ladyhawke...it takes a bit to get that accomplished. I always have to keep at it when I want to change mine, as well :P
Besides, it IS nice to dress up for parties, but it's not required! I think you look GREAT as you ARE! :emoticon-hug:

Hi LadyHawke,

Your avatar did change, I can see the cake you are bringing! The trick is that you need to hit "Refresh" in the browser to see the changes take effect, as I just discovered myself.

What a great party this is, folks! I'm enjoying all the treats!!!

Thanks girls! I went back in and it was there in my profile and I clicked on save and then I saw it change in the posts. Maybe I was in too much of a hurry to get to the party...LOL...and I dressed for comfort as I always do. I used to dress up for looks, now I just want to be warm, comfy & cozy. :thank-you:

To everyone who has been here, set things up, without it we all would be in the darkness and alone, you all are the light!
So I bring fairy lights and the floating lanterns to light up the night sky to send our wishes heavenward.
Oh and a rum and coke to toast us all. :emoticon-hug:

Hi ,

I want to come, too!!! I'll bring my favorite wine -- appropriately called *Mommy's Time Out*!!! Seriously though, it's really good wine!!! I wouldn't have survived the past 4 years without all of you. Thanks!!! Oh, for food.....how about a dish of Mexican chicken, salsa and rice?

Take care, Everyone. :thank-you:
Margaret

PS...Shelley....I need an in depth refresher course on *Avatars*. I tried to find it myself.......got lost!!!

To change your avatar:

In the forums page you will see your name in the top left hand corner, click on "settings".

This will bring up the "Your Options" page. Under "Your Options" click on "Profile" which will bring up a list including "Change Avatar". Click on this.

Click on "Click here to create or update your Living Avatar". This will bring up your Living Avatar page, to change click on "edit" and knock yourself out.

Click on "save and use avatar" once you're finished then click on "return to forum" at the top right of the page.

This will take you back to the forums page, if you refresh at this point your avatar will not change. You have to go into one of the subforums first and then refresh the page. You should now have a new avatar.

Well this is how I do it, there may be a quicker way! Oh yes and I'll be late to the party, like to make an entrance you see, bringing a nice bottle of oaked Australian Chardonnay and a straw as it's all for me baby  ! Happy Anniversary ISN...you rock!! :thank-you:

Wow, the party celebrating all our Sclero Anniversaries was fantastic! Everyone was delightful. The company was exquisite -- no better batch of friends anywhere, in my opinion. The food was mouth-watering superb.

:happy-day:

Thanks to Margaret, Mommy's Time Out put a few folks asunder, so they had to sleep it off while the dancing, horn tooting and confetti throwing began. I'm not much for drinking or dancing, so I did a lot of horn tooting, which is appropriate since some folks said that's all I ever do anyway.

Jeannie and Snowbird are still on clean up detail, trying to nab all the confetti, which is everywhere, even inside the grooves of my keyboard.

Our local E.R. wants to know why 15 people named "Mommy" asked to be admitted for a "Time Out". We told them to PM Margaret for more information.

Well-wishers are still always invited to respond to this thread, sending your greetings and well-wishes to all the fabulous members, supporters, and volunteers of sclero.org and Sclero Forums!

Thank you everyone for making sclero.org and Sclero Forums such a delightful place to be for stellar scleroderma info and support. We all truly appreciate it!
