Question: Have any of you developed scarring on your chin, that looks sort of "orange peel"? You know, kind of lumpy?

Sorry, Pam, I can't be much help to you over your chin lumps but wondered if it could be folliculitis? Just a thought! :emoticon-dont-know:

I have orange peel-like lumps on my thighs but I think that's called cellulite!! :(

Hi Sweet,

I may be wrong (I often am, and you know that), but I don't recall hearing of this in relation to scleroderma. You might possibly have what is called peau d’orange (French for orange peel skin) which is pretty common and can be treated with botox (or, just lived with, but I don't think that is quite your style, eh?).

I think I see a dermatology visit in your near future. Let us know what you find out, will you? And good luck!

Hi Sweet,

I have that on my chin, too. When the skin on my face tightens it goes away. My Rheumatologist told me what it is. My memory isn't very good. :emoticon-bang-head: I'm thinking it's excess collagen?? I can't get in touch with her until Monday. I'll see what I can find out then.

Hi Sweet, I have it on my forehead, it comes and goes, weird. When I do have it, the skin on my forehead feels a bit bumpy and thick, and a touch oily. It doesn't peel though.

Yup, I have that on my chin, under the corners of my mouth. Don't know what it is but I got it. Would really like to know what the dermo says about yours. I've got so many other things to do (sleep study, neurologist appointment, supposed to get PT...) that the skin thing is far down the list.
