A help with dry lips

Awhile ago, someone asked about a lip balm that was inexpensive. It was mentioned that petroleum products can be in many lip balms.
I didn't think of it at the time but vegetable shortening can work really well. A small can will last years in the fridge and, as long as you don't fry stuff in it, is relatively non-toxic.
I couldn't find the old post to update it so I hope it is not a repeat.

I don't know, my hubby would think fish-and-chips flavored lip balm would be just the thing! :lol:
