I saw my primary care doctor this morning because I had discovered an abnormal discharge from my left nipple this week. I've had itching in the same nipple for about 6 months now and I've also noticed some pigmentation changes in that area as well. The doctor found some blood cells in the discharge and is sending me for a mammogram, ultrasound, and MRI and then on to a surgeon for a biopsy. I was wondering if this could be scleroderma related. Has anyone been through a similar experience?

Can't offer any information, unfortunately, put I'll keep you in my thoughts and hope it turns out to be nothing. Not the kind of excitement you wanted, I'm sure.

I have to ask, by any chance do you have inverted nipples? although I haven't had any discharge other than when I was breast feeding my nipples are very often soo itchy, I thought that it was just me. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Hi Lesley,

Like Jeannie, I can't offer any more advice, but I'm thinking of you and hoping that your tests results are okay.

Keep us informed on how you're doing, won't you?

I had a very similar experience a number of years ago and had all the same tests done, mine turned out to be blocked ducts which was removed surgically, everything has been fine since.

I do hope that you get all your test results quickly & that everything is okay.

Best Wishes

I can't offer anything here either but am glad to see that your primary has covered all the bases. I also hope you get your test results quickly and that all is ok. Hope you keep us updated. Good luck with your tests.
Sending good wishes your way!
