I am due to have a steroid intravenous very soon has any one ever had one of these? :emoticons-group-hug:

Hi Lynn,

Although, like you, I take steroids orally, I've never had them intravenously so can't advise you from my own experience.

I expect there will be some of our members who have though and I would think they will be along shortly to give you some first hand advice.

I found an article on Webmed about IV steroids, it's in reference to treating MS but I guess the side effects and regime would be the same.

I hope you get improvements from the steroids.

I did.....back years ago for ocular myasthenia gravis. It wasn't too bad just very high energy and no sleep. My joints felt swollen for a couple days. How long will you be on them?

Hi think I will be on them every two to three weeks for about three months starting next Tuesday. It takes about three hours so I must take a book to read. :VeryHappy:
