Hi everyone!

I can't believe how many new faces are here. I have been pretty much offline since February. My daughter Grace had brain surgery, which was out of state, so the surgery, traveling and rehab made it impossible for me to be online. I though once we got home I would be good to go, but the whole experience wiped me out!

I did post a while back thinking I would be back to help, but then major computer issues happened so when it finally got fixed I was so excited to be back online only to have Internet issues! In between all of the computer issues I injured my knee. I tore my MCL and injured other parts of my knee. After rehab, it was not better, kept swelling and I was in constant pain. So last week I went in to have it all cleaned up. The surgery was a piece of cake. No pain, just swelling and pain from the swelling. Tomorrow the stitches will be removed and I will discuss the surgery and see pics of the injury inside my knee. I am actually excited to see them.

So, hopefully now I am back to post and post news items again! Welcome to all of the new members here!

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

How lovely to have you back again! :emoticons-clap:

Goodness me, you have been having a time of it with your daughter's brain surgery and your own operation. I do hope that she's recovering well and that your knee will be soon feeling much better.

It'll be great to have you posting news items again! :jump-for-joy:

Best wishes to you both,

Hi Lisa,
It IS great to see you again; I've been holding good thoughts for your family as your daughter recoups from her brain surgery; How IS she doing, anyway?

Also, I am relieved you are on the downside of your knee issues and that you are doing so well; Keep up the good work!

Let us know how things look, will you?

Hello Lisa and welcome back girl! It all comes at once and why is it that computer issues just compound everything else? How is Grace, I seem to remember that she had a remarkable attitude to it all, wonder who she got that from? The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

Take care. :emoticon-hug:

Lisa, we are totally thrilled to have you back! You have had quite a year and I'm glad things are settled down a little bit for you. At least, enough to have you back with us. Here's a Sclero Happy Dance that you're back --

Hi Lisa ....welcome back!!! I hope your knee heals quickly and Grace makes a full recovery. That must have been one scary operation for a Mom to go through.

Take care, Everyone.

Thanks everyone!

I am moving along in the healing process. Mostly swelling, not a lot of pain really, which is good. As for Grace, she is one remarkable girl! She only missed a few weeks of school and got back in the pool to start swimming quickly thereafter (she swims competitively.) Although she still struggles with headaches and fatigue she is just unbelievable! Just a few weeks ago she was featured on Michael Phelps Facebook page! It was the day I had my surgery. I was lying on the couch waiting for the kids to come home from school. As soon as they came in I said, "Grace I have something to show you!" She responded, "Mom I really don't want to see your icky knee!" I told her is was a good surprise....when I showed her, she flipped out. I haven't seen her that happy in a long time. Made her year!

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

I'm sorry to read you have swelling going on, but I'm glad that you are making headway, at any rate.

As for Grace; she has great self-discipline! I only wish she wasn't suffering from headaches and fatigue :tired: ; I hope both becomes less and disappears soon, so she can better enjoy her swimming. As for being featured on Michael Phelps Facebook Page: :woohoo:That is SO AWESOME!!! Congrats to her! (Keep up the good work, Grace and Lisa)!
