Here's a hilarious snippet from CFMBabs' blog:

Snow-Ma-Geddon

Snow they say!

Well it's certainly cold enough. The mere mention of the word and everyone buys bread- Why?

I'd wrestled with a wonky wheeled trolley all round the supermarket. I'd bumped. bruised, and bore the brunt of many a screwed up face and said "Sorry" more times than a child with a broken piece of China! I was worn out when I reached Checkout...........Read More!

Hi Babs,

Your blog rings so true!!

My local supermarket was filled last week after the snow forecast with what I call 'the shopping for a siege brigade', frantically stripping the shelves like locusts, just in case of bad weather and the chance that we might all starve! I wickedly toyed with the idea of standing by the sugar isle and saying in a very loud voice "I've heard there's going to be a sugar shortage due to the weather" just to see the reaction and whether I could instigate some more panic buying but decided against it as I thought it might not make me very popular!! ;)

We had the snow which was forecast here, although mercifully it's now all been washed away by heavy rain (back to normal then, really! ;)) so now we all can get out on the roads and stock up with even more shopping (lots of loaves of bread etc. ;) ) again, ready for the next time!!

Kind regards,
