Hi all,

My GI has ordered a stool test for me (just because I turned 45 and so it is time to do one) and I have to stop taking my Celebrex for 7 days before the test and 3 days of the testing. I am now on day 5 without the Celebrex and in so much pain I can not believe it! I was driving to the grocery store and it was hard to even lift my leg from the gas pedal to the brake because of the pain in my hip joint....ouchie!!! I knew the Celebrex was doing some good....but boy, you don't know how much until you have to stop taking it for some reason.

Warm wishes to all,

That's a hard way to find out something is actually working for you, but it certainly is good to know. We take some many pills, it's hard to know what works and what doesn't. Hope you get back on the Celebrex soon and it starts to work immediately. Pain is NO FUN!

Big Hugs,

I am so sorry you are in so much pain, but I appreciate the information. I need to get on something and so maybe I'll ask my doctor for Celebrex! Right now I take an occasional Arthrotec. (old school anti-inflammatory)

Hope you can get by until you can start taking it again, and please let us know how the test goes.

Hi Heidi,
Ouchie! That stinks! That was a hard way to find out how great your meds really work. Good luck with test and please let us know how it goes.

Heidi, I'm sorry you're having to go through the pain :( ... but I sure can empathize with you.
I was unprepared to be without meds, awhile back... It was my fault because I didn't realize I was so close to being out, time lapsed and I had several days without my Celebrex... not good
I can remember when I first started taking it... I slept so well, due to no pain interrupting my nights!
Hang in there!

Oh, Heidi!

That is NO fun at all! In the words of Joni Mitchell "don't know what we've got til it's gone"...now I've dated myself! And you're only on day 5. ewwww. Some of the OTC arthritis type topical pain relievers are somewhat helpful or just get out the good old heating pad or the micro thing a ma jig.

And of course have fun with the testing : )
