Virtual skin biopsy by optical coherence tomography: the first quantitative imaging biomarker for scleroderma.

 

The longitudinal study to test the sensitivity of the OCT based algorithm will tell whether this can used to determine changes in skin fibrosis over time and therefore used as an outcome measure in clinical trials and in clinical management. PubMed. 02/20/2013. (Also see: Skin Fibrosis)
