Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE): prediction by MRI of the subsequent development of brain lesions.

 

The presence of lacunar and/or localized cortical infarcts on initial MRI scans may predict the development of new brain lesions in patients with SLE. PubMed, Acad Radiol. 2014 May;21(5):617-23. (Also see: Symptoms of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus)
