Pancreas Islet Transplantation for Patients With Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus: A Clinical Evidence Review.

 

For patients with type 1 diabetes with difficult-to-control blood glucose levels, islet transplantation may be a beneficial ß-cell replacement therapy to improve glycemic control and secondary complications of diabetes.
