SC MTX can prove to be more efficacious in patients refractory to oral MTX therapy or in patients experiencing severe gastrointestinal adverse effects. PubMed, Rheumatol Int, 03/02/2016. (Also see Immunosuppressants and Treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis)
