The role of mineral and bone disorders (MBD) in the development and progression of cardiac and renal pathology in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus of long duration.

 

Development and progression of kidney dysfunction is accompanied by MBD, a significant factor in progression of cardiac pathology, which remains a major cause of mortality in this patient population.
