Local heroes are honoured. 15-year-old Connor Duckworth, of Burnley, won the Young Person Award. He suffers from a rare medical disease known as linear scleroderma and Raynauds phenomenon, which affects much of his body, causing him pain and permanent disability but is an accomplished pianist and song-writer and uses his musical talents to raise money for research into his condition.
