Well, I've had an interesting week....It started very early morning with some strange chest pain. I have chest pain alot, but I have severe GI involvement, so I always pass it off to that, but this time was different. It scared me to the point that I went to the ER. I was admitted and kept overnite and had a stress echo the next morning and was told that other than a fast heart rate (105+ at rest) my heart was ok. The Cardio did put me on ToprolXL50mg once daily for that and sent me on my merry way with instructions to see my primary care :( Does anybody have any thoughts??? Thanks for listening!
Peace :)

Hi Barbara,

I have had many cardiac problem. I've had tightness, pain, SOB. I went through a full cardiac work up, EKG, treadmill, then stress treadmill, ECHO and just 6 weeks ago, I had a cardiac CT. Everything ends up turning out fine and they have a problem figuring out what is causing my symptoms. So I don't have any great advice for you but wanted you to know you aren't alone.
Warm and gentle hugs,

Hi Barbara ,

Gareth has had horrible chest/esophageal pain for months now. We know his heart is OK and the gastro doctor *thinks* it may be esophageal spasms. He put him on vasodilator, Isosorbide, for when he really starts to hurt. I am to give it to him before his supper so it will help the esophageal muscles. So far, it has helped.

Take care, Everyone.

I have chest pain and GI problems too.
My pain feels like it is over my heart area, but when I got checked out my general practitioner told me I had costochondritis, and my pain is a friction rub in my chest, on the left hand side where my 4th rib from the top is, which sort of seems to be over my heart.
My pain is usually either quite sharp, or mild but continuous, it changes, and does hurt when I press the area, so I don't know if yours is the same

I have had my heart checked and it is fine, although I do have a prominent pulmonary artery, but I have had that since I was 15.

I hope you can find the cause, it is painful, for me a wet heat helps.

I have chest pain too. It feels like someone is squeezing me or standing on my chest. Sometimes it's scary. Been through all the heart tests and they came back normal. I'm going to have a 24hr heart halter to wear next week. I've been experiencing blurred vision and dizziness. I'm wondering if that's from the prilosec...they don't know. I do know that I have been feeling this way a long time now. I also had a brain scan last week. Normal. Am I really sick?? lol
Now I have several white soft patches on one of my fingers. What are those?? How depressing...

Hi everyone, Pamela that is exactly what I have been through. It's always, everything is fine. It sounds like a few people here, have this going on. It has to be Sclero. related. When all of this first started for me the chest pains were really bad. I had so many tests and the doctors kept on saying, everything is fine, other than acid reflux related. So who knows? Considering this seems to be a common thing around here, it must have something to do with Scleroderma.
