I just wanted to let you know that I heard from the Mayo clinic this week and I have been approved for the kidney transplant! Now my donor needs to be tested and if all goes well we will do the transplant after the New Year. :D

Congratulations!!! That is great news. My sis had a transplant 20 years ago and is still going strong. She is a diabetic. She was on a waiting list for a donor, got a call in the middle of the night, went to the Virginia Mason, and the next day had a new kidney. She also has a pump, and I think that really helps stabilize her. You will be in my thoughts.
