Hi all,

Does anyone else find that time of day matters? I can hardly get anything down that is not liquid in the morning and then as the day progresses, swallowing seems to get progressively easier.

Warm wishes,
Heidi

I also don't seem to have as much "umph" in my swallowing in the morning as I do later in the day. Also, I can't "swallow on demand" if you know what I mean. Taking pills has always been a bit of a problem. Over the years, my dentist has made sure that all my appts. are in the later afternoon so that my throat has loosened and therefore swallowing when he tells me to is a bit easier...but he's always told me that lots of people are like this so I'm not connecting it to the connective tissue disease.
I would be so sad to lose my ability to eat popcorn. Like another confessor here, I soak my popcorn in butter and salt and munch away... :P

Does anyone fix popcorn for lunch? I used to do that during the day. I didn't have to share and I could clean up the mess before anyone got home from school or work. Of course, I still make it the old fashioned way. In a kettle on the stove. Lots of butter and salt also. I keep antibotics on hand in case I have a problem. Or I just call my doctor and say I am having severe pain and need help. His response is. Did you eat corn or popcorn or peanuts this time. Usually, it is the popcorn. It is an addiction like smoking I guess. Sometimes, I just can't go without it. All other substitutions don't work for long. I end up maybe going one day then I pop my popcorn. Just thinking about it makes me want to go pop some. This topic needs to be off the screen. It is bothersome. Ha! Sheryl

Morning could have some to do with it, I always thought ti was because cereal is grainey.....lol. But then I still have the peanuts & what not. Late yesterday I had popcorn & didn't seem to have the problem...so maybe morning is worse?
