Ladies and Gentlemen,
Remember when I could not figure out what blood work I have done? I found the sheet and I have a CBC with automated diffusion. Does anyone know what this tests for?
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi Jen,

a CBC is "Complete blood count", so it checks the count of white blood cells, red blood cells etc. It's basic. Frankly I'm not sure about the "Automated diffusion" part, unless its just the way the test is performed.
Warm and gentle hugs,

Sweet,
Thanks Sweetie! The test is under HEMATOLOGY, the code is HCBC, then it reads CBC with Automated Diff.
I wish I could find an explanation for it, so I may just call the lab. Patty sent me a great link but even that did not list my test. :( I've always thought I was weird, this just confirms it.

Mystery solved. I believe this is what I have....automated white cell differential.
Thanks...
Jennifer
