Disease's limitations lead artist in new direction. Sharon Leiker was diagnosed with scleroderma six years ago, and was given five or six years to live because her lungs are affected. However, recently her pulmonologist told her that she should be good for another 20 or 30 years. Sharon is an artist but found scleroderma made the fumes from her oil painting unbearable, so she switched to watercolors and now holds exhibitions. The Wichita Eagle. 04/11/07.
