I think I found a new part on my leg where my scleroderma has spread to..

I noticed it when I was shaving (because hair doesn't grow on my leg where the hard skin is) and I noticed how there was a bruised looking spot near the other skin involvement on my leg. I'm just going to keep an eye on it over the next few days.

I'm not going to let it get to me, because I'm going on holidays soon! off to NewYork for some shopping! cannot wait!! :D First time ever gong to America.

Good for you, not to let it get to you. Hope you enjoy New York. I lived there for a year when I was 19 - lots of cool places to see and things to do.
Warm wishes,

Sorry you think you've found another hardened patch of skin on your leg. :( Glad you aren't dwelling on it too much.

Enjoy America!!

Louise, shopping my kind of girl. I love to shop and I've never been to New York, wow what fun. Have a wonderfull time. Anyway I have these hard patches on my legs as well and I was wondering if it's what you have on your legs. Are they raised hard patches and are yours sometimes itchy? I'm going to see my rheumatologist on Thursday, I'll have to ask him what this is. It does sound like what you have on your skin is similiar to what I have on mine. Take care and have a great trip.

Hey there Louise~
I am truly sorry to hear about your new found spot on your leg. You are not alone here, and staying positive sounds like a good plan...not only for your health, but also for your amazing shopping trip to New York. That sounds like SO much fun...please tell us all about it when you return.

Louise, have a great shopping trip and a wonderful time in New York. Looks like you will have some friends your age now on this website. Timo (Jess) and someone else whose mother wrote in. I couldn't find the post earlier. So maybe they will write again and you will have someone to chat with. How is college going? You haven't given us the scoop on your studies or fields of interest. Write when you return. Sheryl

I am sorry to hear about your new patch. Great idea not to dwell on it. Dwell on spending money in New York! :D
