Just to let you know that I'm getting a new state of the art gastrostomy tube on the 11th. Funny how you can get excited over something so obtrusive!

The fact of the matter is, I've ruined my tube by trying to fit a new end pulling out the jejunal extension that was inside the outer tube -- I simply didn't know there was another one? Anyway they decided that since I was only quite young --- she was wearing dark spectacles when she said it! I should have a less noticable tube in order to wear fashionable clothing and for modesty as well.
See how things go, believe me they couldn't get much worse -- Or can they???

Best wishes
Barbs xxx

Hi, Barbs. I am so glad you are finally getting a hot new tube to go with your jet set lifestyle (I have just been reading your blog). I hope the transition is relatively painless. Do keep us posted on how it works out.

Congratulations on getting a new tube. It sounds like it's going to work for you better than the one you have now especially now that summer is coming! Hope everything goes well. I look forward to reading about your experience and how it works for you.
