Okay so this time its my left wrist and its way worse than my right wrist was last time.

Again, don't recall an injury, just started hurting worse and worse until tonight now its pretty much useless.

At least its left. Guess I'll make appt withgp. usually the appt alone makes it go away.

good night all,
b

Hi Barefut,

Do you also have carpal tunnel? I have it in both wrists, my right one being the worse of the two (I'm left handed), but have had more trouble in the past two weeks with my left one. At this point, it's hard to tell if my "lobster claw" of a right hand is due mainly to the CT since the tendons in the wrist and halfway up my forearm are very stiff as well. It began very suddenly about 5 years ago, and although the pain will wax and wane now, it was constant pain at the onset; just touching anything shot lightning bolts through the wrist and hand. It's about time for me to get another appointment with my Neuro, and that might be the best option for you too if you haven't seen one for a while (or at all?). I'm sorry that things have been so rough for you, and even if I don't respond to all your posts, I have been reading them. Let's hope that things will level out and give you at least a breather!

All the best wishes to you,

Elehos

I have been having problems with my wrist and hands too but its at night time only. Once in awhile it hurts when I washing the dishes. My plates are made of that maleware so its very light to hang on too, but it made my hands hurt any ways. That is something else I need to talk with the doctor too. I dont see my rhumey until August.

Hi Barefut,

I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. I've looked all over and can't find a link for you. I'm hoping our magnificent Janey can find it, she can find anything!

Please hang in there.

thanks so much for your time searching pam! I spent about an hour looking earlier this eve and no luck. your pm'd link was the most info I'd ever seen on the subject and reassuring to me that there actually is more that can be done for this excrutiating pain.

don't know how I'm gonna get through my day tomorrow. I just took on 2 new kids in childcare and one is a 3 year old handfull to put it mildly. I may have to dissapoint this poor desparate single mom, hate to do that.

anyway, thanks so much again, I'm calling my rheumatologist tomorrow. I am so grateful it is my left and I'm a righty. oh how much more worse it could be!

love ya,
b

It does sound very painful. Glad you were able to make it to urgent care. I hope the pred boost works for you - it may take a bit of time to start working.

Good luck with your new charge. Is there still time to reconsider?
Warm wishes,
Jefa
