Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share how happy I am that I've been randomised into the stem cell transplant arm of the ASTIS trial. I would have been happy to be starting a treatment either way, but I really wanted that one. I think I must be the cheeriest patient my doctor has ever had, my cry of "YIPPEE!" when he told me was greeted with a bemused "Well, yes, I was happy too".

I have an appointment with the haemotologist whose department will be carrying out the treatment on 10th August and will be starting before 4th September. Will let you know how things go...

PrincessB , keep us up to date on the different procedings. How you felt before and after. About how long it takes to feel almost normal. We will be here cheering you on and hopefully someone in your family will give us the scoop on how well you are doing. Sheryl
