Hi everyone I feel so bad that all I do around here is ask questions lately. I jut have been not feeling well enough to do anything much at all.

I was wondering who here has kidney problems and how they started and when they knew it was time to seek medical input.

I have pain on my left side in back under my ribs. I have nausea for days now and just over all feel very run down. My BP last I looked was 144/98. I also have a head ache that comes and goes.

I looked up the Kidney section here and yes it sounds like it could be but when I read anything about anything lately, it sounds like me.

If Life hands you lemons, make lemonade.

Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Limited scleroderma, Dermatomyositis. Diastolic Dysfunction, dysphagia, Fibro, restless leg. Lupus is a maybe.

Hi Patty
I don't have kidney problems myself, but given your symptoms and raised blood pressure reading (is it usually lower than that ?) I would seek medical advice. It may well be that you just have some virus or even UTI, but I feel it is better to be safe than sorry.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hi Patty~

I agree with Lizzy, you she see a Dr. I know that's the last thing you probably want to do is head back there, but you really do need more safe than sorry.

Let us know what they say..

Hope you feel better soon!
Take care and stay warm,

Hi Patty, One of the sclero doctors I did see told me to take my blood pressure daily and it was ever elevated to call them immediately as it would be the first sign and possibly only sign of kidney issues. My BP is usually 110/78. When I asked what would be considered elevated for me they said 145/90. Needless to say, I have not followed their advice and pretty much just have my BP taken once a month. good luck. gidget

Hi, Patty. I agree that you should call your doctor with this one. You really don't want to mess around with this sort of thing.
