Has anyone ever gotten a shot of Adacel? My primary care physician recommended it since I was getting the pnuemovax anyway.
It must be kind of new a maybe a booster to a tetanus shot...not sure at all. Need to do my homework.

Hi there! Here's what I found on the web: ADACEL vaccine is the first tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) booster vaccine. I don't get the flu vaccine because when I did I got really sick. doctor said something about the "base" that's used & me reacting to it! So if you've had the tetanus, dip & pert. vaccines before you should be fine I would think!
Soft hugs your way,

Hi Tangie,

A person needs an updated Tetunus every 10 years, so if you haven't had one, I'd take it. :)
