Well next wednesday I will be getting my first shot for my neck, he seems to think that the pain in my shoulder is from my neck, I think differently but I will hang on and see. I did call my family doctor to see if they will get me something for the pain. I'm hurting and this cooler weather is making it worse. The pain doctor couldn't give me a shot today and or anything for the pain. I really dont know why I was jsut happy to be there and to find out what his paln is. Shot's are his plan. I hate shots, I dont do very good with them, It's like I'm a little girl all over again. I dont ever remember them hurting when I was younger I jsut know I dont like them now. Well anyways I'm going to lay down its been a stressful day for me. Take care Sam

Hi Sam~

I really think you should push for an MRI. This will finally tell you and the dr's what's going on with your neck and arm.

My thoughts are with you.
Take care and stay warm,

Michelle

Hey Sam! Are the shots "Marcaine"? I did those a couple of years ago. These were to basically numb the muscle/nerve so you don't feel the pain and in theory relax the muscle/nerve into submission. However, after having this particular therapy I found out it did more damage than good. At the time I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and it was the "current" pain therapy. Please check this out & I think an MRI is in order after reading your posts. Maybe some PT? The myiafacia (sp?) massage/stretching really helped me when I had shoulder/neck pain. It was very uncomfortable learning the exercises and being stretched (even a little a the time) but in the long run it's really made a difference. I learned all sorts of ways to relieve the pain in my shoulders. Hope you're feeling better! Michele

###### you poor thing - I sure hope this helps you, you've been hurting for a long time. What type of "shots" is he going to give you?

An epidural should be a longer term solution for you. I had a friend who used them for his hip & it made a difference in his world. Hope it works for you & glad it isn't Marcaine! Good Luck!
Soft hugs your way,
