My 5 year old had his first basketball game today. He scored 12 points. He's the only one on his team that can even throw it up that high. I wish the baskets could be lowered a little more for the rest of the kids.

The game was SO funny to watch with the kids running down the court with the ball (without dribbling), stopping and standing there trying to make their "granny" shot and then ducking the rebounds.

Of course I forgot my camera or my video camera. Maybe next time. It was a hoot!

It was a nailbiter and I was up way too late again but.....

The Patriots finished their season undefeated! 16-0!!!! Now if they can just get through a few more games and bring home the Superbowl title. :)

They also broke a bunch of league and team records this year.

Baseball season and I just have to brag about my 10 year old, so bear with me.

He pitches and plays first base. Tonight he got 3 runners out at first, caught a fly ball, hit a triple and struck out 2 batters with 7 pitches.

At the last game he struck out 3 batters in 3 ups. "3 UP! 3 DOWN!"

That's my boy! One of the other parents on the team told me I was "glowing"

I'm a proud momma :D

OK, I really don't follow team sports that much, but I am a BIG NASCAR fan!!!!!!!I was raised around it and I just love it!!Then again, I am a souther girl :P My favorite driver is Jeff Burton. He's what I call a local boy. He's from South Boston , Virginia. That's about 2-3 hours from where I live. To show my age ( I'll be 50 next week) (for those of you who have been long time fans, you will understand)...My favorite driver when I was very young was Fireball Roberts. I just love watching those guys making all those left turns!!!(and they say women drivers are bad  )
Peace :)

Hi everyone,
I'd like to brag about my daughter and her lacrosse team here. Today she had a lacrosse game and they had no subs. The field they play on is huge and they were all exhausted. The game started out to a rough start. The opposing team had definately been playing together for a year or so while my daughters team only has two players that have ever picked up a lacrosse stick before this season. The other team scored quickly, three goals, with in the first few minutes. The team rallied back... Emma made a nice pass and they scored! Yay! We were so proud. At the half it was 5-3 and we were losing. Emma had to play goal the second half, which is a near impossible job. She only let in two goals while her team kept scoring. The final...7-6 We were the 6. The team is now 1-1-1. I was so proud of her today.

Kids.. they make me smile, most of the time!

Hugs,
Lisa

To All the Proud Moms,
Brag away! That's one of you roles as a Mother isn't it? Sounds like we have a great little pitcher in our mist and an up and coming Lacrosse star. I look forward to hearing more throughout the season.

Lisa, that is so neat :D

Continue enjoying her and her games.... they grow up so very fast!

My "baby" will turn 33 tomorrow (April 29th) and his youngest son of 2 will be 3 months old on Jeff's 33rd birthday.

His oldest son... age 7 has his first baseball game on Jeff's birthday! Should be fun...watching those little guys!

this morning, at 8am in the cold Emma had a softball game. Her team is in last place. :( They try so hard but they are young and just getting used to playing together plus they have a few girls that have never played before. It was the last inning and they were down by 8 runs. Slowly but surely they started getting hits, stealing bases and were lucky to have a few walks for runs to come in. The umpire was about 12yrs old and horrible at calling the game. Anyway, the girls stuck with it. Emma was up, with one out, bases loaded and the winning run on third. First pitch ball, ball, strike (mind you this ball was about 6 inches over her head, ball, strike (she swung and missed), the next ball hit the ground and rolled across the plate and he yelled "Stike!". She was so upset because clearly it was a bad call. Now two outs... next batter, hits the ball right back to the pitcher...she picks it up and throws it home, the runner slides into home..... SAFE!!!!! They won their first game!! They were so happy as were the proud parents watching!

What a way to start our day.

Hugs,
Lisa

8 am!!! Wow, that's EARLY! I LOVE watching the kids play baseball. I look forward to every season and every game night after work.

Watching our kids play is WAY more exciting than watching the pros, isn't it Lisa?

Absolutely! Yesterday Emma had a lacrosse game. This is also a very young team and only two of them have played before. We went to a town named Hanover. They are a decent town in the way sports go and they are on the "South Shore Lacrosse Belt", meaning this area of the state is known for their lacrosse skills. 5 minutes into the game it was one to one but after that the girls "clicked" and we ran away with the game after that. Emma was so aggressive and had two nice shots on goal, of course both of them were shot right at the goalie and saved. It was the best mother's day weekend for me! Two wins from her teams!! I was so proud!
