Well I had the PFT done today and the ABG. The ABG was done at the bend of my arm and was not painful at all. She said my levels were a little low in my blood but my level during the 6 min walk was 96.( done with the finger clip because thats all she had unless she went to the ER to get a ear clip). I have no idea how I did on the PFT itself. She said my Dr should have a report in about a week. I will update as soon as I hear anything.

HI Patty,

Sorry, I wasn't home when you called. I'm glad to hear there was no pain from abg. and 96 is pretty good.

I wish they would have given you a copy right then and there. That's what they do for me. But then again, I usually go right up to my dr. office after my pft's and hallwalks. So I guess they don't want you getting the results before your doctor.

I'll try to call ya' later. right now the kids are due home and I gotta make dinner.
Happy people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have!

Warm and Happy to you! Vee

Patty, I am so happy the arterial blood gas draw wasn't bad. You had someone that knew how to do it. Awesome. 96 that is wonderful. You didn't have Vee sticking her tongue out at you and messing you up. So you didn't have an oxygen problem. Two great things. It's about time girlfriend. Keep running after Gia and your oxy numbers will stay up hopefully. Great News! Sheryl

Great news! 96 on a 6 minute walk is awesome! Have you tried asking the pft technician for a copy of the report. I always ask and my technician prints one out before I leave the room. She writes "unevaluated copy" on it, but that's o.k. At least I have a copy in hand. Never hurts to ask.

Congratulations Darlin'. With these results I'll bet your pft results are marvelous!
