I was out on my sister's property and fell on a steep, slippery slope and hit the ground hard on my bad wrist and left hip. I had to sit there awhile to make sure I was still in one piece.

It was windy and freezing out there so I was numb. Now that I've had a hot shower and thawed out, I am really feeling it - everywhere. I feel like I've been in car wreck, or run over by a bus, or was the ball in a soccer game...

Just had to come on and complain. No better place for some sympathy.

I am reminded of when my youngest was almost 2 and he fell down, he said,
"I felled me right down. HA- HA! I ok though."

Gonna go find my recliner and an ice pack.

Good night all,
Barefut

Barefut,
If you are feeling it now, just wait until morning. Take your motrin so you can get out of bed. I truly hope you feel no pain in the morning. Have a good nights sleep. Rest your acky bones. Sheryl.
Strength and Warmth,
Sheryl

Barefut:

Ouch! :o I can almost feel the lumps and bumps as I read of your fall. Doesn't matter how careful we try to be, whammie, it happens.

Even with all that's going on with my toe with the pain and the surgery, don't you know I stubbed it twice yesterday; once on the shopping cart and once on the dog's bed. Ouchhhhhhhhh!

Take care and make a "boo-boo belly" supper, snuggle and get better soon.
Tru

It is what it is...........

Hi there Barefoot.
I don't get too much time these days to write any replies, mainly due to writing blogs and my very active social life -- not!
I noticed that you've recently joined me in the lonely blog world and it's great to see you post. I've enjoyed your blogs so far and you just seem to emulate exactly my feelings along with others I'm sure, however I am sorry to hear of your tumble and I sincerely hope that you haven't hurt yourself too badly!
I fell not long ago -- over the goose, don't laugh! The stupid thing was going for me with neck outstretched, as they do! I lifted my leg to boot it and I'm not being cruel here but unless you've had a nip from one of those critters, you wouldn't understand how much pain those beaks can inflict upon a person. My other leg which was stationery slid from underneath me at the point of contact, missed the goose and slipped right into it's poo! The goose hooted almost laughing and it's true they do laugh as were my husband and daughter who were watching from the window. The only thing I hurt was my pride and I had a dirty great stain all down my jeans from the lovely stuff they produce almost on a reflex action, in one end, out the other!
I'm so clumsy Y'know it's a wonder I've never broken any bones.
Best wishes to you. Keep up the good work
Love Barbara xxx

Thanks guys,

I don't feel as bad as I thought I would today. Just a little stiff.

Thanks for the welcome Barbs. Your blogs have intimidated me so a compliment from you is truly an honor and an ego boost!

Having a very windy day here today gusts up to 60 mph. Power flickering so I'd better send and go!

Hi There~

I'm sorry to hear about your bumps, lumps and bruises. My family calls me Grace for the simple fact that I fall all the time. It's so weird, but I can totally relate to what your feeling. Try to take it easy and make sure you ice your bumps and just take it easy for a few. Ohhhhh and don't forget the motrin. It works wonders.
Take care and stay warm,

Michelle

Oh barefut,

I'm sorrry, but you did give me a chuckle, as did Barb. I sure hope you're doin' much better now. I was worried, like Sheryl mentioned, the next day effect can be horrible. Keep the pain meds in you until you're sure you're ok.

I haven't read the blogs yet, I've gotta admit I never really noticed the word up at the top til you brought it to my attention. I'll have to go there and check it out!
Happy people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have!

Warm and Happy to you! Vee

Dear Barefut, I hope you are feeling better soon. Nothing worse than to fall and already be sore.

That was cute though... what your little one said when he "felled" "Out of the mouths of babes"! How precious!
