Jennifer, are you wanting the southern cheese rice pudding? I have that recipe. I don't know if you are looking for just a cooked rice that you add cheeses to and a bit of your favorite wine or a cooking wine. Sheryl

Vee, I have everything laid out to make your pineapple dessert. I have worked since 9 this morning. I have my cranberry sauce already done and am working on my sweet potatoes at the moment. I don't want them to get completely done. I want to finish them tomorrow with the marshmallows in the oven for a few minutes. I have two ovens but don't have room for everything, I like baked. So, I am saving room for your dish in the front so I can keep an eye one it. I like one surprise dish at any big meal. To get peoples oppinions. I made three perfect Apple pies. Yes! With homemade Pie crusts. I have never bought a premade or boxed pie crust. Only because I like the regular one that I am use to. I only eat pie for the crust anyways. In fact I butter all my scraps and sprinkle a cinnamon sugar mixture over them and bake them for a few minutes. A nice little snack. Or I cook them and save them to put in my cream soups. It is better than crackers. I make pie dough thin cookie baked pieces to use for my soups when company comes. So good.

Sheryl,

Wow, I wish I were coming to your house for dinner. I sure hope you like the pineapple casserole. Have you put your pie crust recipe up yet? I love a good pie crust, too. Here's wishing your family a happy turkey day!

Vee, the pineapple dessert went over quite well in my family. My mom loved it as well as several others. It was different in that we all thought it was going to be really sweet. But the cheese and cracker crumbles made it taste almost like eating coconut or carrot pieces. Great consistency. I will make it again maybe with a pork dish next time. My youngest son kept eating it. He was enjoying the many flavors. Or expounding on it to get all the little ones to try it. They all took at least one pineapple bite. Of course the youngest in that group also liked it very much. It was easy to make and fun to chew over. Sheryl

sheryl,

I'm so glad that it went over well. It always does at my house too. Except for my oldest brother. He thought it was cheesey potatoes, so he was kind of creeped out when he took a bite! :D  After that he couldn't get himself to eat it, just because it wasn't what he thought it should have been. What a baby!!!! Hope you had a delightful day with your family.

Tangelo,

Sorry, I know we are using your thread to chat. lol, I hope you got your cheesey rice made and enjoyed by all!

Tootles!
