On Tuesday morning my family was all together and we were opening presents. At one point my brother asked me to leave the room for a moment while he prepared something for me. I was a bit suspicious because he is known to be a prankster. When I was given the all clear to return, I slowly looked around the corner for fear that something might jump out at me, but instead, my whole family was standing in the room whith their arms out and all of their wrists sported a teal "scleroderma, sclero.org" bracelet! I couldn't believe it! Tears were brought to my eyes. It had to be the most thoughtful gift I have ever received.

Lisa

Oh Lisa, that's amazing!! My husband's company did the same thing for him when he was fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma!

My sister donated on behalf of family members to scleroderma research!
I was touched.

You are very fortunate to have such an incredible family. That's great!!!

Add my eyes to the leaking! Congratulations on a wonderful family! And thank you for all you do. You are certainly deserving of the best.

Hi Lisa,

This was so touching. It put tears in my eyes, too! You do so much for others -- and for the ISN -- that I think this is just all your good deeds, coming back to kiss you on the cheek.

The most important thing in the world to know about scleroderma is sclero.org.

Lisa,
What a wonderful gift of the heart--the best kind. I think it reflects all of the effort you put into your fight against sclero. You fight your own disease and put so much into ISN.
I had drippy eyes as well when I read your post.

(hugs) to you and your thoughtful brother and supportive family.

Lisa, this is such a lovely story to share. You must have been really touched by such a gesture. Getting to know you this past year has been an uplifting experience, so I feel like an extended member of your family. Guess I had better get my bracelet, too. And one for each of my family members as well. :)
Warm wishes,
Jefa
