Well seen the doctor this morning and he said go get xrays which I knew he was going to have me do anyways, and he gave me another script of biaxcin. He said he couldn't believe the Zpac didn't help any. Well after I left him I had the xrays done and I did see them and they dont look good. But of course they won't tell you anything. They have to let them get reviewed, then send them to my doctor. So I won't know anything until Monday. I am so so tired of going to the doctors and getting more meds to take and just feel yucky still. I really like to know what is really going on with me, my family doctor agreed about no more steriods. YAY!!! Atleast for now. Well all I am very tired and need some much needed rest. Been gone all day. Good night and take care, Sam

Sam, it sounds like the doctors are keeping you busy with tests and exrays... I am so sorry that you are enduring this right now. Please let us know what they say about your exrays. Until then, get some rest and try to remember that eventually you will start to get relief and finally feel better.

Hi Sam,
Hopefully the dr will find out what is really wrong and get you the right treatment. My husband has been sick for over 2 months with a horrible cough. Honestly, it is driving all of us crazy! The first time he went to the dr they said it was just a bad cough. I made him go back a month later because it was not getting any better. They tested him for whooping cough (negative) and gave him antibiotics and an inhaler. He went back again last week and was given a different antibiotic and inhaler and now has to have a pft and see a lung specialist. I told him he was trying to take over my role in the family... There is some nasty stuff going on this season. Hope you feel better soon.

Hey Sam,
I'm so glad you'll be off of steroids, but so sorry you are continuing to feel so badly! It's so crazy how long a person has to wait to get the results of a simple xray. I hope it's not as bad as you are thinking it is.

Keep warm and rest!

Like you , sam... it's aggravating when doctors give Zpacs without knowing whether an infection is viral or bacterial.
Since you have an URI, I wonder if it's bacterial? If so, are you allergic to sulphur drugs?
When doctors give so many antibiotics, a person's immune system gets so used to the antibiotics... that a body doesn't even respond. doctors sometimes have a tendency to give broad-spectrum antibiotics, too.

I wish you the best with this. It's been way too long and it is going to take a while for this to go away.

Hey Sam

James stopping by to wish you better....do I know what youre going through!

Please make sure your doctors test you for viral infections...my last stay was in a small community hospital..they did not test me at all, just gave me avalox...i got steadily worse till I checked myself out of the icu and to another hospital where they located a viral infection in my lungs called RNAor RVA....attacks those with weak lungs and as soon as I startedthe treatmnent for it, via a gaseous element going into my cpap....i started to recover and now I am ten days out of hospital....feeling better than I have done in months......

some doctors, some hospitals either do not have the bidget or talent to diagnose us.....we must remain vigilent that we do our homework on top doctors and hospitals - it is a life or death decision in my opinion

Get well soon, no, get well sooner than that!!
