Hi. I live in Arizona. What part of AZ are you looking? Dr. Eric Peters MD & Dr. Joy Schechtman, DO are two very excellent Rheumatologists in the north valley. If you need help finding doctors or are interested in meeting others with scleroderma in AZ please PM me. I'm apart of a great support group and we discuss things helpful things like doctors, meds, etc.

We live in Glendale we were going to the Mayo and seeing Professor Griffin but my wife continued to deteriorate and it was difficult to get past his secretary when needed. We didn`t know of any support groups here.

Danceswithcats, you live in the phoenix area don't you? Where do you go for your doctors. Maybe, you can help these people out. Best of luck to you. Its no fun having a doctor you can't get through to because of the rest of the staff. Sheryl

i lived in El Mirage AZ until six months ago - I saw a very good rhemy who has dealt with a lot of sclero patients, so knows her stuff.

Shi is quite blunt - doesn't mince her words. but that is really what we need most to be honest

Her name Is Dr Dimpy Kapoor, her office number is 623 399 9010. well worth an initial consultation

good luck

Yes I sure do live in Phoenix. I have a new rheumatologist now and I like him. He seems to be very conservative in treatment which I like and he's knowledgeable. His name is Dr. Joseph Nolan. His office is over on 15th Ave just north of Camelback (5040 N. 15th Ave ... 602.285.0017). He's an older gentlemen and his staff are terrific!

Good luck!
