I received a call today from my doctor that my appeal to my insurance company for the IVIG therapy went through and in my favor. They will now start the infusions as soon as possible for 3 days for April, May and June and then once those are done my doctor needs to send to the insurance company information showing that they are working.

I was so excited as I really didn't think that this would in fact go through. Just thought I'd share some good news for a change.

Thanks and warm hugs.

Peggy

Hi Peggy, I am very happy for you, it is sad when insurance companies control patients lives and prevent them from getting a treatment that can improve their conditions. I never understad why they do that, it cost a lot more when a patient in intensive care unit in any hospital than just pay for the treatment require.

Best wishes to you

Alice

WONDERFUL NEWS! Congratulations! Good for you for hanging in there. I'm sure you'll that CPK drop with each treatment. I hope you also see a lift in your fatigue level.
