My childhood friend has just been diagnosed with this disease. I have encouraged her to join our forum as she has been cruising the web and getting tense on information.

I won't give her name here, as she may want to remain anonymous for a short period, but I wanted her to experience the warmth, love, laughter and information that this site provides.

I do hope she joins or at least visits to see what a comfort this site is.

Tru,

I hope she does join. She can always just check us out for awhile until she feels comfortable posting.

You're a good friend for recommending ISN!

Hope you're feeling better!

Barefut:

Just sharing: My son's ex-fiance used to cradle my face in her hands and tell me how beautiful I was. She is from the Dominican Republic and held such a high esteem that we were best friends. I actually introduced her to my son 5 years ago. They since broke up due to my son and his ambitions but have since reunited. She had always hoped her children would carry my genes and inherit my looks. I hope that isn't so.

Tru,

I hope she joins us. Like barefut said, she can always just go into stealth mode and read up a bit before she decides. Once she sees the comradery (sp?) I'm sure she will join in.

Tru,

I, too, hope she joins. She'll find a wealth of information here. And friendship.

Much love,

Kim
