Hi, folks. Sadie reminded me that I was going to post this link. The link will take you to another link - they have apparently changed the info to a pdf file.

But You Don't Look Sick: The Spoon Theory. I asked her to count her spoons. She asked why, and I explained that when you are healthy you expect to have a never-ending supply of "spoons". But when you have to now plan your day, you need to know exactly how many “spoons” you are starting with. Butyoudontlooksick.com.

This from our Emotional Adjustment page.
Warm wishes,
Jefa

Jefa, Thank you for posting that! That is a great way to explain to others what it's like liviing with a illness. People don't always understand what it's like living with a illness. Someone one time asked me if I'm just tired all the time so I told them more about Scleroderma and they were surprised to hear about some of the things that go on. Alot of the time I don't share stuff with others and they don't know how I really feel because I smile alot and always say I'm doing good. I don't like bothering others with it but when they ask questions, I do talk a little more about it. Thats why sometimes I get on here and vent because I know everyone gets it.
