I know this is way off topic but I just had to comment on my incredible evening. For those who have read of where my name originates from, you probably are aware that I am a huge Springsteen fan. Frankly, I cannot imagine a bigger fan. Well, tonight I had the pleasure of seeing Bruce, just a few days post the death of his longtime E-Street Band companion, Danny Federici. What a fantastic and yet sad show at the same time, seeing the E-Streeters without Danny. Nonetheless, it was a rock solid near 3 hour blowout of a show. It is amazing to see these guys 35 years out and still showing the energy of 20 year olds. What was even better was seeing the show with the company of my 17 year old daughter who is now on her 3rd show(of course I have not influenced her in this regard). It was number 11 for me and I certainly hope for many more in the future. Well, now that I have gotten that off of my chest, I will go to sleep. Goodnight all.

Gocart ~

Thanks for sharing your awesome expereince. Just the stuff I love to read first thing in the morning. I am glad you were able to share it with your daughter. What great memories you're making!

Incidentally, I can't hear Blinded by the Light now without thinking about you. (Thought of you yesterday at work.)

Eleven Springsteen concerts?!?!?! You are a HUGE FAN! I'm sure this one was special just being able to share it with your daughter.

In reference to the age of band members and the amount of energy - I saw the movie documentary "Shine A Light" the other day about the Rolling Stones. Even though I'm not a big Rolling Stones fan, the movies was still awesome and the energy and performance ability of those 60 years old was unbelievable!!!!!! Their ages showed in the wrinkles but not in the moves.

Glad you enjoyed it. Being from the same area, I saw the clips on the news this morning. I saw Earth Wind and Fire at Ruth Eckerd on Sunday night. I was exhausted afterwards, but it was a good show. Was good to get out with friends and enjoy life.

Hey Sweet,

I saw Rod at the Gorge with Santana back in the early to mid 90's (poor memory for dates!) A birthday present from a friend - I'll bet you were there....?

I'm so glad you shared this withus! Just as barefut mentioned... nothing makes me feel better... than to read that those from our group... was able to do something so special! So... I share the sentiments of the others!

I also want to say that any musician mentioned here I also love their music... I've been able to enjoy a few of my favorites too, but love that we can share our feelings about them/their music witheach other here, too.

In closing, I'm glad your daughter has seen 3 of Bruce's concerts and that the two of you can always share something as special as this... together!

Hope you don't come off of that cloud any time soon  !
