As I mentioned in one of my other posts, I had a Gastroscopy the other day.

The very next day in the evening I was in the shower and noticed I was in alot of pain in my back. The pain is in the middle of the back going from side to side on both sides of my back but I have noticed this morning it is now mainly on the right side. It is not low enough to be my kidneys, but is around that area sort of below my shoulder blades. I am also a little sore near my sternum area.

I can move my arms and bend down without pain, so I doubt whether it is muscular pain. The pain is very intense and I am a little worried whether it is internal, I am not sure whether there are any internal organs around there.
It also hurts if I lay down flat, but not if I turn on my sides in bed, weird.

Has anyone else had this or am I the only weird one here :( ?

Take care
Celia

Celia,

We're all weird here! That's the nature of this disease.

I can't tell you how many unexplainable pains I've had in just about every part of my body. It gets to the point where I almost have to laugh as it's just one more thing...and I wonder where the next thing could possibly pop up!

Anyway, I hope you find relief soon and it if not, tell your doctor about it. In the mean time - I'll prescribe a warm soak and a little pampering (because since I'm not a doctor that's all I am allowed to prescribe  )

Hang in there!

Ced, you might want to have your gall bladder checked out. If you get more pain after eating things like pork or pizza then you might indeed have a gallbladder. That is how my pain started. I could also sleep on my left side. Not my right side or tummy. Gall Bladder pain radiates from front to back. Near the center of your chest on the right side to just above your kidneys in the back area. You can also get clenching tummy pain or sharp stabbing type pains in the right side. Just a thought you might consider. I hope your pain goes away. Keep us informed.
Strength and Warmth,
Sheryl

Hey Celia,

Sorry for your pain! It could be Costochondritis, or pleurisy, for either one you need to call your doctor love.
Warm and gentle hugs,

Barefut, I wish I could have that nice warm bath, I've not had the luxury of having one since my 4 year old Son was born. He certainly keeps me on my toes <_< .

Pamela & Sheryl, I will be seeing my Gastroenterologist next wednesday, if I can last that long, I shall mention it to her then.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Take care
Celia

Celia,

How are you feeling today? Any better? If you are still having pains, maybe you can see about pushing up your appointment instead of waiting until Wed.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Karen

Hi Celia,

Just saw your thread and read of the pain you've been having.
I hope by now, that the pain is leaving, if not left. Lying on the
hard, flat surface you were on during the procedure... couldn't have helped.

Pam and Sheryl brought up some things that could possibly be the culprit(s).
I hope not, though... for your sake.

As for the bath that you love... I hope you can manage one, if you haven't yet...
Nothing better than a leisurely bath/soak to cure all that ails you!

Hugs,
Susie
