Earl Manns is going to be running several marathons for scleroderma in the next month, with the slogan, “I’m running for those who can’t, SCLERO.ORG”. He is running in honor of his daughter, Mya, and in loving memory of Judy Tarro.

Judy Tarro, aka Jude The Grouch, was founder of SD World website and email list and was a loyal volunteer for the ISN, as well, serving as an ISN News Guide and ISN Artist up to the very end. She lived with systemic scleroderma for over 50 years, despite being on oxygen and caring for her aging mother for a very long time. Jude had diffuse scleroderma, Sjogren’s syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, and pulmonary fibrosis.

All the funds raised will tackle scleroderma with stellar and absolutely vital research, support, education and awareness by the nonprofit International Scleroderma Network at sclero.org.

We invite you to have your name written on the virtual wall of supporters by sponsoring one or both marathons. Here are the donor levels:

Ruby: Up to $99: Your name/company listed on sclero.org
Silver: $100-$499: Your name/company individually publicized on sclero.org
Emerald: $500-999: Your name/company highlighted in our newsletter
Gold: $1,000-2,499: Personalized 8.5x11 frameable certificate from sclero.org
Diamond: $2,500-4,999: Your name/company plus link listed on sclero.org.
Platinum: $5,000: Your name and logo on my marathon uniform and inclusion in all promotional materials.

Earl will be running two fundraising marathons for us. Since the first is such short notice, any donor this week will get sponsorship level credit for both this marathon and the next one as well; sort of a two-for-one special. He is running Sept 17-19 USAF Marathon, Ohio and October 17 in Kansas City, Missouri.

To sponsor Earl in both marathons, click here to donate online. We truly need and deeply appreciate your enthusiastic support as these times are especially challenging for nonprofits, yet the need for our services is higher than ever. Please join the excitement and lend your support today!
Warm Hugs,

Hello!! Haven't been to the site for awhile as my sister (diagnosed with systemic a few years ago) is doing wonderful! Awhile back I read something about running for scleroderma and was wondering if it is a type of fundraiser, and when and where it is. Anybody with any answers?? Would love to hear from you.

Hello Pokey,

I'm glad to hear your sister is doing wonderful, despite scleroderma. Here's hoping her luck holds out!

We have had several "Running for Scleroderma" fundraisers, where Earl Manns was sponsored for running marathons on behalf of us, the nonprofit International Scleroderma Network. He's on a hiatus from running marathons for us, right now.

Our next big fundraiser will be Lisa Bulman's Scoring for Scleroderma Soccer Tournament, in Massachusetts, this fall. Meanwhile we need all the donations and fundraising we can get to tackle scleroderma, so if you want to donate or hold a small (or major!) fundraiser for us, we'd love to hear from you! You (or anyone) can just PM me or call our hotline at 1-800-564-7099 for more information.

An easy way to get involved is to simply donate and/or purchase items from our Sclero Shop.
Warm Hugs,
