I've been lurking around for several months, but keeping track of all...

Jennifer, thanks so much for the update on Peanut.

Miss Peanut, you stay strong. You want to get out of ICU and into a room with a nice view of Lake Michigan (hopefully). The weather has finally turned--feels like spring has finally arrived and we have actually had a few summer type days now. You want to feel some of the better weather Chicago has to offer instead of the cold, windy, gray weather that hung on much longer than usual this year.

We know you're a fighter and have a terrific sense of humor. Use both to your advantage now to get through this time. Take strength from all who love you and care about you--including all of us here--as you need it.

Looking forward to hearing when you're out of ICU and better yet, when you join us here again!

Lots of good thoughts and strength for you,
emmie

Jen,
Thanks for posting this update. I know how hard it was for you, but you knew how much Peanut is loved.

Lots and lots of positives thoughts being sent your way Peanut. You're a fighter and so very much admired.

Lots of love and hugs to you and your family,
Janey

Hi Everyone,

Besides Peanut being in the Chicago Hospital for SCT, there was also a lady from Arizona, too, going through the process before Peanut. Has anyone heard from her? I know she didn't post that often. Will keep both in my thoughts.

Take care, Everyone.
Margaret

Margaret - My friend from Sacramento, CA was before Peanut and she is home and doing pretty well. She said her hands and feet were getting softer, her lungs are better (although she still has a flu-like feeling in her chest) and she gets tired very easily. All in all, she is feeling so much better. I, too, send Peanut good thoughts and gentle hugs! -Ann

Peanut,

The recovery following the transplant can be really difficult. I was a guest in ICU for awhile, as well, following my transplant. I know, however, that you will come through in the end and feel a whole lot better when this is all over. I am sending a bunch of healing wishes your way. You are in very good hands there. Let us know how you are doing when you are up to it. In the meantime, get lots of rest!

Hi Peanut,

I found your website because of somebody else's posting. You have a beautiful site - and beautiful artwork. I'm still sending you lots of healing energy.

The link to Peanut's site (Lisa Volz) is:
http://www.hopeandheart.org/

Look in the Update section, where you can also add messages for her. However there is a link to this thread in her update section, so posting a message here for her works, also.
Warm Hugs,
