Reporting in...the "flavor" of the news is good

Hubby's dr appointment was yesterday a m first thing
My husband's birthday was yesterday and the news he got at his appointment was the best birthday present he could have gotten.
I only wish the dr would have gotten him in for a CAT scan 2 weeks ago, because those were 2 very long weeks and believe me, I conveyed that to him. He got the gist of how hard it is when 2 people have every reason to believe that lung cancer was very likely, due to his prostate cancer, along withhis suggestions of it!
I asked that the Cat scan be done, so it was immediately. It showed NO TUMORS and NO BLOOD CLOTS.
His bone scan was done because of his being on the Prednisone over longer periods of time, as well as the fact that prostate cancer can spread into the bones and/or lungs. Thankfully, his scan came back that his bones are also in good shape.
His PSA had gone up 1 1/2 points since January, but he's doing the watchful waiting, in that regard.
To point: We are very relieved, yet also worn out after the two weeks of angst.
We are so very grateful for today.
His cousins asked us to pizza to celebrate his birthday and to have a short visit. The same cousins are having a BB-Q this afternoon to celebrate their dad's 80th birthday, so we're driving over for that.
Tomorrow...Father's Day, we're driving my younger brother, my sister-in-law, my nephew and my grandson to the airport...they're flying to Busch Gardens for a few days. My nephew won a free trip withperks and they asked my grandson to go withthem, as the boys...9 and 7 are very close. I'm so happy for them!
Later in the day, we're invited to hubby's daughter's for another BB-Q to celebrate Father's Day.
I hope that all of the fathers out there...have a wonderful day and that all of you have a great weekend!
Again, I thank each of you for your good thoughts, special messages and concern.
