Hi Razz ~ I'm rather new also, plus I don't get a lot of opportunities to post ~ so I'm no well known. Sounds like you came to the right place, I've had a wonderful welcome. I'm trying to write my story to explain all that I've been through over the past 8 years or so. I guess I've never been "officially" diagnosed, which is really crazy. But that was then, this is NOW. I have an appointment with the rheumatologist for July 30th and I plan on getting some answers then.
I had a major operation in January (a portion of my stomach removed) due to Watermelon Stomach ~ and I expected that to be the "cure all." Unfortunately, that isn't the way things worked out. I'm back to feeling pretty rotten and I'm really stuggling to keep my head above water.
At any rate, welcome ~
I'm sure you'll be right at home here. For me it's like the port in the storm!

Great description Nina; it is the port in the storm, the place where you can feel comfortable and safe, if only for a moment.

The welcome here is phenomenal and I can see why people hang around here. I started reading some of the older posts and got lost in a den somewhere. That's where I found out you can log personal stuff, recipes and special hobbies. I'll figure out how this works so bear with me.

Before I tell my story (in a new thread) I wanted to shout out to Sadie! Hey Sadie, I missed you and I am thrilled to hear you're in great spirits! You know I am the only Razz. I'm glad you knew it was me!

Tru and Nina, this is a nice place to come to after a long day. I agree it is a safe and comforting port! Nina, I hope your rheumatologist gives you the best medical treatment and helps you feel much better. I went through five doctors before I found this last one. I've been with him for 7 years.

Debonair Susie, Shelley, and Andyko, I'm also looking forward to getting to know more about you and everyone here.

Razz :)

Razz:

If you have the opportunity, try to join us in the chat room on Wednesdays and Sundays. Talk about getting to know each other; we talk so much and so fast, it's amazing how fast that hour goes by. It's like we're old friends.

Razz,

What Tru says is true (lol). The chat sessions are great because you get to talk in real time and it's a blast getting to know eachother and talk about any and everything.

Yes Jefa, true. We can't really get into the nitty gritty stuff, but we go as far as we can without offending ;)

Thanks Tru and KarenLee, I'll try joining in your chatroom sometime. I've never done chatroom stuff. The message board is also kinda new to me. As You can see how long I've had SD and this is the first time on this forum. I'm all thumbs (literally) when it comes to computers and it takes me a while to figure out stuff. I appreciate the invite --- who's bringing the donuts?

Welcome Razz! I like the chocrazz... idea too...lol. I LOVE Raspberry ANYTHING & especially in chocolate....mmmmm.... now you're making me hungry!

It is awsome here, I have not been diagnosed with Sclero, it has been suggested by a few doctors, lab work is neg. except for the elevated RF. At anyrate, I seem to struggle with several of the same symptoms from the raynauds to the tightening skin & the digestive stuff and everyone here has always been precious & fun... very supportive. It is the only place I go & can go when I feel alone with all of this.

Razzberry,

Ooooookay....I'll bring the donuts :D I love maple bars and chocolate too...any other favorites?!
I'm usually in the Sunday night chatroom because things are more laid back here at home and my time is more "my time" then! lol

Well, I'm going to try to read a few more threads/posts and then hubby would like for me to cut his hair!

I used to eat chocolate bars withnuts or reese's until I developed so many canker sores I could barely eat. Then I read nuts cause canker sores. So now I limit myself. But I do love my chocolate and berries. In a shake, sundae, yogurt, yummmy!

Nice to meet you RobinAustin, Tangelo, Luvbnmum3! Debonair Susie, I enjoyed chatting withu on Sunday!

Hi Razz,

I really am glad you were able to make it to chat on sunday and that we had an opportunity to chat, too!

Sorry I'm so slow posting... Between caring for my 5 month-old grandson, Brayden, his older brother, 7 yr-old Jonathan...plus hubby not feeling well, I haven't had much forum time, lately.

I hope to be in chat again on Sunday evening...look forward to chatting withthose who can too!

Debonair Susie,

I enjoyed participating in the chatroom and will try and join in this Sunday! It's neat getting instant responses and reading the postings. I bet your grandsons are adorable! All my nieces and nephews are grown and there aren't any little ones running around. I hope you're having a great 4th of July celebration! I going to start up the grill in a while.

Razz

:)

P.S. Hope your hubby is feelin' better!
