Hi everyone. Well the 4th is closing in and just wanted to see what everyone was up to? My hubby has off tomorrow so we get a 3 day weekend which is awesome. A friend of ours has a boat that we plan on spending the day on (weather permitting, there's talk of thunderstorms). :D

Hey Karen:

Plan on going to a neighbor (best friend actually) for a small get together. Started making empanadas yesterday to nosh on. Small groups are always fun. Around 9 PM our town will be having a fireworks display. It's great in that we can see it right from where we are. Happy 4th everyone!

It is what it is...........

Hi Karen and tru,

Glad you're getting to go boating, Karen...have fun and be safe!

Nice you have neighbors to celebrate with!

What are empanadas?! They sound really yummy!!!

We're going to hubby's niece's, where there will be a gazillion kidlets, as well as some adults. We aren't going over until evening. The later hour was decided for 2 reasons...1) Some are going to a birthday party at 1 PM and 2) It's supposed to get to 99+ degrees ...so it was figured it would be staarting to cool off a bit by then.

We are also looking forward to the fireworks displays, tonight.
Everyone, have a safe but fun weekend.

Special Hugs,
