Hi Everyone,
Hope all is fine with everybody, I have been so busy with doctor appointments, celebrating my birthday and taking care of my kids. This week I felt I was on a job from appointments everyday, on Monday I went to see my primary care physician, to talk about my blood test. She tried to take blood from me but was not lucky to get any, so she referred me to the lab. On Tuesday I went to see my rheumatologist and he saw my first blood test, he told me that I have to repeat my blood. Lucky enough he got my blood, (woo-hoo) no lab for me, that is out of the way. Hopefully my levels for the thyroid and kidneys will be okay this time. Wednesday I finally went to see a physchologist, which was a okay experience, she diagnose me as medically depress. Hopefully we be working on my mental health during each visits. Today I had my OB/GYN doctor for a pap smear, which I don't like doing but had to do it. What a week and still trying to find time to settle down, next week is 2 appointments with dermatologist and opthomologist. Hope everyone week is much better than mines, have a good night.

Sincerely,
Leslie R

Wow Leslie!

What a busy girl you've been. I don't know if I could handle all those appointments in a week - good for you in taking care of business.

Hope you are feeling well.

I've only been out of bed a half hour & after reading all that I'm tired again! No just kidding, but seriously, that is a busy week & Happy Birthday to you! I don't like having a lot of appts. in a week either, especialy when I've got little ones, I think you mentioned that you have kids as well. Last week I had the dentist, Neurologist (EMG), & a Barium Swallow... ahhhh time to sit back! Take care of yourself & rest up!

My doctors are all 3 1/2 hours away so when I go in for my quarterly appointment they try and squeeze all the appointments in that day so I don't have to come back being its such a drive. I like that I get it all done in one day. Your week sounds like a busy one and I'm sure you're exhausted. If your appointments are like mine you spend a great deal of time just sitting in the waiting room waiting to go in. I hope all of your results come back good and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Warm hugs,

Peggy

I have scheduled appointments like that before as well and always have to when I go to see my Sclero specialist. He's 7 hours and 2 states away and there's never any "extra" time. Luckily my kids are older and pretty self sufficient, but I remember the days of multi-tasking and they aren't quite gone yet. I hope your levels are within the preferred ranges.

Happy Belated birthday my fellow Cancerian!
I may have Scleroderma, but Scleroderma doesn't have me!

Thank you everyone for your wonderful words of wisdom and support. Hope everyone have a great week, I only have 2 appointments this week. One is with my dermatologist, hoping he will give me something for the itching, and the other appointment is with the opthomologist. I will let you know how it goes. Have a nice weekend.

Sincerely,
Leslie R

Leslie,

You deserve an award for the Most Organized Multi-Tasker! I try to schedule tests with doctor's appointments. If it ends up being a long day, I'll squeeze in lunch or breakfast at the hospital's cafeteria. They have the best tasting hospital food.

I hope your Birthday was great!

Leslie and Everyone,

I'm with you, Ladies...those app'ts can be real draining :(

I love summer, but it seems that's all my hubby and I have been doing...is doctoring! He just began pulmonary rehab last week, which is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I know he'd love for me to go to his rehab sessions withhim, but my plate already overflows and it's the only time I have for/to myself...when he's gone to rehab.

Tomorrow, he has an app't withhis primary care physician and my sister-in-law also has an app't witha surgeon. She has Sarcoidosis and just got diagnosed withAnkylosing Spondylitis. (I'm so hoping that her painful knees can be replaced...but if the problem isn't mechanical, they can't) Please keep good thoughts for her? She's in constant pain, my friends. Anyway, I told her that if she wanted, I'd be glad to go to her app't withher.

On Thursday, just like the end of last month, I have a dr's app't the day after my hubby's. Next Monday, I have a morning app't withmy rheumatologist and in the afternoon, I take my mom to the dr (I haven't told her yet, though B) ). I always take care of my two youngest grandsons (6 mos and & 7 years old) on Mondays. But next week, I probably won't have them.

The last day of the month, hubby has a PFT, an app't withhis pulmonologist and an app't withan urologist (in regard to his prostate cancer...time to make a decision).

Sorry about babbling, but it helps me get my agenda together!lol :D
I hope you are all staying comfortable in whatever kinds of weather/temps you're experiencing in your neck of the woods
Hugs to all of you!
