Hi Everyone,

I just came out the hospital today. I was not feeling well this past Thursday, having real bad stomach pains, felt like labor pains. My husband had to call his mother and my sister to watch the kids. You see it all started with my stomach cramping, for the past few days I was experiencing constipation, but I still was passing my bowels. Until late Thursday night the stomach pain was getting worse and it cause me to vomit, so I was rush to the hospital ER. When I got there I was given a shot for the pain, they did get a vein in my back of my hand for the IV. I was so grateful I did not have to do a central line like last year. I saw a gastroenologist that told me because of the gastrophesis, their was acid build up in my abdomen. He said that I will have to take one medication more than once a day, and to follow up with my gastroenologist. I feeling much better now but have to take it easy for a while. Also I finally find a psychologist, I had 2 sessions with her, she is nice. I was diagnose as medically depressed and not clinically, I know that but physically I feel a little weak. So just wanted you guys to know I will be away for awhile on the computer, trying to catch my strength back. Have a good weekend!

Sincerely,
Leslie R

Leslie, I am glad you are feeling better. I hope you will now have your gastroparesis under control. I have found that I have to be careful not to skip any medications and be ever watchfull for the first signs of bacterial overgrowth. Keeping our intestines functioning properly is sometimes hard and something we use to take for granted.
Strength and Warmth,
Sheryl

Leslie,
Glad you are out of the hospital and the pain is subsiding. Is there something that can be done so that you will not have to deal with this again? Please discuss this with your doctors so you are not in pain like that again. It is so important that they know what you went through so that they can be proactive to prevent such things.
Take care and hope you feel better fast!

I'm late here in wishing you well. I'm glad they were able to figure out right away what was happening and get you some relief. There is nothing worse than having terrible pain and no relief from it. I'm also glad your sessions are going well. I probably should do the same as the only out that I have with talking about this is through this forum. I hope by now you are up and about and feeling so much better. I hope you have a great day and a great week. Take care and

warm hugs,

Peggy
