I have a friend who is considering moving to one of the Islands but is concerned about finding a good rheumatologist who specializes in scleroderma. I looked on the "scleroderma experts" site but didn't see anyone. Is there anyone here that lives in Hawaii or one the other islands? Many thanks for any help you can provide. -Ann

I looked at the American College of Rheumatology's list of rheumatologist in Hawaii and the only ones they have listed are in Honolulu. It's quite an extensive list. I don't know if this is the area in which your friend plans to move, but she could always make some phone calls and "possibly" get some information.

Here is the link: Rheumatologists in Honolulu.

Good luck to your friend wherever she ends up!

Thanks so much Janey. I will forward the link to her. She wants to live in warmer weather (she's from Sacramento). She swears the the weather and salt air and water help her ulcers heal quicker and the raynaud's disappears every time she goes. Hmm? Maybe I'll join her. Thanks again. -Ann
