Have not had a muscle biopsy and can't say that I ever want one done either so I can not help you infromation wise. Just wanted to say good luck with the biopsy and wish you well. There are some procedures that they always say that you will be OK with and to drive after and etc. Experience tells me it is better to have someone with you with any invasive procedure if there is anyone. I get kind of ill feeling when they take some kind of biopsy even skin biopsies especially on the hands. Didn't think much about it before I had a hand biopsy once. Then I had to drive home with stitches and discomfort in my hand with a bandage. Twenty years ago I would of just done it and be OK with it but it is different now at least for me.
Best to you.

I will make the appointment today. I will have someone tag along. Maybe my daughter will go with me. Susie54

Had a muscle biopsy done last year. Not a big deal. Still, having a driver is a good idea. There was some soreness the next day or two. They took my muscle from the shoulder. Did you ask where they are taking it? Good luck.

I hope all goes well with the biopsy. I have only had a skin biopsy which in reality was the simplest of procedures, quick, painless and so small it was covered over with a plaster after having all of 2 stiches in it. I guess a muscle biopsy is similar just deeper.
However because I am a big wuss I got all creeped out about it before, during and after. Before, I annoyed the doctor by asking what he was going to use to remove the sample with expecting to see a scalpel but instead was shown what looked like a tiny apple corer. During, I kept trying to see exactly what was going on which did not suggest confidence in the doctor and after, I left the "operating room" declaring... don't take it personally but I hope I never see any of you again...!

I have zilch in experience with that too...but I also want to wish you good luck. I agree, it's always nice to have someone tag along on those kind of 'outings'.

I wish you a good result here. I'm on board with the rest of the folks, here...to have someone go with you is a good idea.
We like to feel we can do these things on our own, but why not have a friend along to "support" you and someone to chat with going to and fro?
Please, Suz... keep us posted?
