Hi,
My doctor from Johns Hopkins just called. They must never sleep. She said that all bloodwork was fine except for ANA- 1:640. She said that was quite elevated!! Urine samples were ok.

Hi Nan,
I know that you are looking for a diagnosis but I doubt that this test is the one that will do it for you. I was told back at the start of my diagnosis quest that ANA could show high for no reason and not show when one should be there. I have the same results with my last test as you( 1:640 and I think around here that's normal to low). I might be wrong here and if so I know others will jump in to correct me. Maybe this will help get the ball going but please do not set yourself up for a fall. I went through this b4 I got the sclero diagnosis. Its not a fun place to live in limbo land.
Hugs,
Patty

Patty,
My diagnosis is CREST, Sjogren's, and Fibromyalgia. I went up to Johns Hopkins last week. When she examined me last week she said she didn't care what bloodwork said I had all of the signs of Sjogren's and Scleroderma. So I finally do have a diagnosis and I am going to have all the necessary screening tests done for scleroderma.
Take Care,
Nan

Hi Nan,

My ANA hovered around 1:640 for years, my most recent one was 1:1280. My doctor says he has patients that are in the 1:20,000 range! Yikes!
Warm and gentle hugs,

Nan,
I'm with Patty. Even though we done want to hear it - I'm glad you finally got a diagnosis so you can start treating it. It's also good to see you have a doctor that looks at symptoms and not just test results.
Big Hugs,
Janey
